We awoke this morning for our daily routine
The roads where empty.
Not a soul to be seen.
The shelves are bare with nothing to eat
People have been so selfish.
As the PM takes his seat
They are promising help from wide and far.
But please do your bit keep out of pubs clubs and bars.
People are isolated more than ever before but please remember its not forever and more.
Do you bit and keep washing your hands.
Follow the guidelines to help our land.
I thank the people who are on the front line.
This pandemic will end it will just take time.
Send your love to the sick and thoughts to families who’s loved ones have passed.
This will be remembered in history but on our lifes a shadow this will not cast.
We must remember we must not forget this isn’t forever you need to do your bit.
Weither its stay at home if your feeling sick.
Dont go to the shops and take the mick.
Take what you need leave some spare.
We as a nation must show we care.
Schools will be closed and crucial learning must take place.
It isn’t time for a rebellion its only a time for grace.
Tough times ahead and feeling of anxiety are high.
We will all be glad when we can wave this dreadful virus goodbye.
Life will return back to normal and we can all mix as one.
It will take some time to recover and we will have all taken a loss.
But we would of beaten the virus and be able to move on.
